Echocardiography Workshop

Thursday 17th @ 11:30

Refine your windows. Strengthen your interpretation. Elevate your bedside cardiac assessment.

This workshop offers skill building for both novice and advanced cardiac ultrasound users, ensuring clinicians can build confidence at the level that suits their current practice. Through guided, hands-on scanning, participants will develop a systematic approach to echo in the acute setting, focusing on image acquisition, interpretation, and clinical integration.

We will introduce core cardiac views, practical scanning techniques, and structured approaches to undifferentiated dyspnoea using validated protocols. Clinicians will learn to rapidly assess ventricular function, volume status, and key causes of shock and shortness of breath.

To further advance your practice, we will focus on quantitative measurements and refined image optimisation. Participants will practise assessing LV and RV function, chamber size, IVC interpretation, valvular abnormalities, and other high-yield metrics to guide acute clinical decision-making.

This workshop emphasises real-world application, building the skills needed to acquire better images, interpret them with greater confidence, and translate findings directly into bedside care.
